Directions to Waipara River Estate
We are located at 169 Mackenzies Road, Waipara 7483. Waipara is at the intersection of SH1 & SH7
DRIVING FROM CHRISTCHURCH / SOUTH
Take SH1 (State Highway 1) and continue North past Amberley.
Travel approximately 1 km past the SH7 junction for Hanmer, then turn left at the sign post for Waipara.
Drive over the railway line to the Give Way sign at the T intersection. You will see the Annie’s Loft sign. Turn left into Glenmark Drive, Waipara. In a few metres, you will see the Glenmark Railway Station for the Weka Pass Tourist train.
Turn right into Mackenzies Road. Travel straight ahead for 1.6km, passing several vineyards and & you will see the sign for Waipara River Estate and Annie’s Loft & Studio on the left hand side of the road.
Go straight up this driveway, through the vineyards towards the white house with red roof which is on the right hand side that you will see through the trees. There are signs for Annie’s Loft.
The entrance for Annie’s Loft is the double doors at the curved driveway in front of the house.
The entrance for the Studio is at the west end of the curved driveway, through the French doors off the deck.
WRE reception is along the path in front of the garage to the wooden door at the back of the house.

DRIVING FROM KAIKOURA / NORTH
Due to the Earthquake of 14 November, SH1 is closed until further notice so you will head down SH7. At Waipara before you join SH1 turn left and drive through Waipara Village; at the railway line where Glenmark Station is on your left, turn left into Mackenzies Road.
Travel straight ahead for 1.69km, passing several vineyards and & you will see the sign for Waipara River Estate and Annie’s Loft & Studio on the left. Go straight up this driveway, through the vineyards to the white house with red roof which is on the right hand side.There are signs for Annie’s Loft.
